Basic Troubleshooting



Troubleshooting First Steps



Before contacting Advansys for support, please check the following:

  • Are you using a supported version of GroupWise? Advansys can only support Formativ when used with GroupWise 5.5 or 6.x

  • If you are using Windows 95 or NT4, have you read about the conditions which must me met for reliable operation of Formativ on these platforms?

  • Do you have the Windows Script Host installed? Formativ requires that the Microsoft Windows Script Host (version 5.0 or greater) is correctly installed on your PC.

  • Do you have Microsoft Internet Explorer installed? Formativ requires that Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher is installed (Advansys recommends you use the latest version available)

  • Is your GroupWise client properly installed? You may need to re-install your client.

  • Is your GroupWise account free of errors? You may need to have your GroupWise administrator run a check on your account for possible errors.

  • If applicable, can you reproduce the problem on another machine?
