RunTime error

Helo,

I’ve used Zenworks to capture a snapshot of Formative RunTime. I’ve tried it and it seems to work fine. I gave access to one of my test users and he got the following error;

“An incomplete installation has been detected. PLease reinstall the product and try again.”

I re-built my w/s and no I get this ame error.

Any ideas ?

The snapshot most likely does not include some of the components used by the Formativ registration security system. I would recommend you use the AXT file supplied with the Formativ Distribution Kit as a basis for a ZEN rollout.

I tried using the .AXT in the FDK (along with importing my registry entries and files) and still get the same error. If I disregard the Object to do the installation, and just use the formativ runtime exe it works OK.

The AXT file in the Distribution Kit just runs the formativruntime.exe setup program and passes several parameters to it. I suspect if you use only the AXT, and don’t import any registry entries or other files, you should be successful.
