      Greetings,

We are experiencing a problem trying to save a message with Message Saver and were hoping you could determine why it’s not working as designed. We are using version 2.0.6 on GroupWise 7.0.4. Below is the log file for this particular message. You can see it has two large attachments. The problem is that Message Saver does not generate this error to the user when it fails making it appear that it was successful. I see the files in the Temp directory but they never reach the fml file that is created. The fml file has the body and what appears to be 2 attachments but they are obviously just icons since the file itself is only 5kb in size. We have tried on 3 different PC’s with no success. Is there a size limit for file attachments that can be saved successfully before receiving the out of memory exception?

      Thank you,

      Jay S.

        Thanks for your post.

This is known to occur in rare cases when saving a message that contains very large attachment. Message Saver does not impose a limit on attachment size, so attachment processing will be limited only by the available system memory. You can increase system memory by doing one or more of the following:

        • Add physical memory (RAM).
        • Restart the workstation prior to archiving.
        • Close any applications that are not required while archiving.
        • Increase the size of virtual memory.

Alternatively, you can save file attachments external to the FML file. You can change the default settings, just for the selected message (or messages), in configure session mode. Start the solution while holding the SHIFT key down. Please see the documenation for more information.

        Hope this helps.
