      After I create and Archive_to_Go on my hard drive I want to brun it to a DVD .

      The the contacts folder has files names with “illegal” characters (semi-colon) when copying to a DVD and it will not copy.

      Why?

      Example:
      C:Archive_to_GoDist1User ID Archivemedia-01data0000004

      Error when copy;

      Ann_Marie_Sudduth@hud.gov; Rollie_Smith@hud.gov; estacy@hafresno.org..vcf

      Thanks

      Douglas

        Thank you for your enquiry.

        This problem has not been reported previously. The exported contact filename is based on the “display name” of the original contact. From your report, it appears that you have a contact with the display name:

        Ann_Marie_Sudduth@hud.gov; Rollie_Smith@hud.gov; estacy@hafresno.org

        Can you confirm whether this is the case, please? If so, how many contacts have a display name including the semi-colon?

        It sounds like your DVD file system does not allow the semi-colon in file names. Could you obtain other DVD software which does not have this limitation?

        Alternatively you could ensure that before exporting, your address books do not contain any contact whose display name includes the semi-colon.

        I hope this helps.

        Regards,
