Just installed Fomativ 2.0.1 on a new PC running Win XP and Groupwise 7. All is well up until the point you try and access a template, an error pop up comes up with the title Warning, Cannot access Address Book Entry for username..

      Please help

Sorry, we haven’t had any report about this issue. Please see below the engineers response.

        – Are there any other machines/user where you can reproduce this behavior?
        – What is the IE setting for E-mail, under the Programs tab (Internet Explorer – Tools – Internet Options – Programs – Email)? If the setting is not Novell GroupWise, it may help to change it.

If the problem persists, there is likely to be a problem with your machine’s MAPI installation. We suggest that you try reinstalling your GroupWise client. We strongly recommend to install the latest point release of the GroupWise client.

        Hope this helps.

        Regards,
        Advansys Support

Thanks for confirming the IE settings. Can you re-produce the behaviour to another machine (making sure the issue is not environmental)?

No the error has never occured on another PC since we have started using Formativ about a year ago.

We also unable to re-produce the behaviour in here which makes it difficult to locate the problem.

As you unable to re-produce it another machine, our engineers believe the issur is environmental or specific to the account. You may need to run the GWCheck on the affected account.

Just to confirm, does the error appear if you run Templates on another machine while logged in to the same account as on the affected machine?

Please send the Formativ configuration from the affected machine to support@advansyscorp.com. You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your reply email (or save it to a plain-text file and include it as an attachment).

                  Regards,

The problem was with Groupwise settings, when the error came up it was looking for first name first, the settings within Groupwise were set to search last name first. I switched the setting All set.. Thank You for your input.

                      Great news.

Could you please confirm that you are referring to the “Address Book” – View – “Name Format” settings?

                      Regards,
