Personalized Emailer Issue

I have a problem with the personalized emailer applet. I am getting the following error: “Could not access the current message. Please save the message, refresh view and try again”

I have read the previous post on this issue but and have done what was suggested but with no success. This is happening on two PC’s (that I know about). One is Windows 2000 with GW 7.0.1 6/13/2006 and Formativ Runtime 2.01. The other is Windows XP with GW 6.5 (final release) and Formativ Runtime 2.0. The only difference is on the Windows XP PC the software works fine if we select TEXT for the view type, fails as HTML. The error occurs with or without attachments. Please advise. Thank you.

Are you using the latest download of the Personalized Emailer?

Can you advise us of the Personlized Emailer applet version listed in the Applets tab of the Formativ About dialog?

Yes, I believe that we do. Version 2.0 from 2004. I also downloaded the file again from the web site and installed. The version number did not change nor did the year.

actually dug a bit deeper the version is 2.0.1 6/6/2005 – thanks.

apparently the new download did the trick. i reinstalled everything, runtime and the pack and now both computers work perfectly. so thank you and i hope this helps others in the future.
