We inherited this customer who has scripts for global signatures. Is there a way to test the scripts with 2.0 runtime and see if they work?

Are you referring the script as Formativ Applet which is syntactically based on Microsoft Visual Basic® Scripting Edition (VBScript)?

Is the applet is open source or flexalock version? Usually the flexalock version applet has the “_Flexalock.vbf” suffix. You can also determine the applet type (open source/flexalock) by opening the applet in Notepad and view the source, if the source code after the “–>Flexalock” marker not readable then it is flexalock applet.

Formativ Runtime (http://www.advansyscorp.com/formativ_runtime.htm) lets you to executes only Encoded and Flexalockâ„¢ applets. Formativ Studio/Creator allow you to execute all Formativ applet (open source, flexalock, encoded) and lets to you create flexalock/encoded version from an open source.

In a nutshell, if the applet is flexalock then you can execute the applet in Formativ Runtime. You need to place the applet into Formativ Applets folder, usually c:my documentsadvansysformativapplets. If the applet is open source then you need to convert the applet to flexalock using the Formativ Studio/Creator to execute in Formativ Runtime.

Hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
