      Hi!

We have recently installed Formativ Runtime 2.0 on some test PC’s.
Now we get the ‘Mailbox Storage Size Warning’ message box twice on GroupWise mailboxes that are over their size threshold when the user wants to create a new message!

Intrestingly this message shows only once if I reply to an existing message.

This does not come from some installed applets – we removed all applets, but we still get the nasty message twice.

The message gets displayed only once when I uninstall Formativ (or rename the Advansys directory).

We are using GroupWise 6.5 SP4. Formativ 2.0

      Any Ideas?

      Regards
      Stephan

We’ve not seen this before, but it sounds like a GroupWise bug. We’ll try to reproduce it here and get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

        Regards,

        Advansys Support

          Hi,

Do you already have any news on this?

I did some more testing. The same problem occurs with GroupWise 6.5 SP4, 6.5 SP5 as well as 7.0 (NON-FTF).

As a small as the problem seems it could become a showstopper.

          Regards

          Stephan

We have been unable to reproduce this issue with Formativ Runtime 2.0.0.17 and GroupWise 6.5.4. We installed Runtime and GroupWise in a clean Virtual Machine (with no applets), and set the threshold on the mailbox such so that it exceeded the size of the mailbox. The warning message would appear only once.

We tried various combinations of thresholds and limits in relation to the size of the mailbox, and also experimented with the attachment size settings. Again, we were unable to cause any warning message to appear twice.

To pursue this further, could you please send us the Formativ configuration information from a machine where the two warning messages appear. From the main GroupWise menu, select Help | About Formativ. When the about box appears, select the configuration tab, then press the copy to clipboard button. Finally, draft a new message to support@advansyscorp.com and paste the content of the clipboard into the body of the message.

Could you also provide details of the mailbox size limitation settings in use, and the details of the messages that are appearing twice. I.e. is it the attachment warning dialog, message size warning dialog. Finally, any other information you feel may be appropriate would be much appreciated.

              Regards,

              Advansys Support

Did you use our Archive To Go to create portable snapshot of a GroupWise mailbox or any other solution?

FYI, Archive To Go do not remove, archive or alter messages in GroupWise, it export messages so you can view messages without need to use GroupWise client.

Have you tried to check the box “Do not warn me again”?

Which version of the GroupWise client you are using (see Help – About GroupWise)?

                  Regards,

NO, I don’t use Archive To Go.

Yes I have tried to check the box “Do not warn me againg”, but this is still for one session when I use GW. Nex time when I start GW this message appears again.

                    Version of GW is: 8.0.2.8.1.2011
                    Build Number: 92614.

                    Bestr regards

                      Are you using Formativ?

We believe the issue is not relate to Formativ, however you can disable Formativ and try to reproduce the behaviour.

Close the GroupWise client then use the Formativ Control panel applet to disable Formativ (Start – Control Panel – General tab – uncheck Formativ, Applet Recorder & Command Blocker).

The problem was with mailbox threshold. Now it’s ok, when the setup has been changed the message was gone.

Thank you for concerning and help.

                        Best regards,
                        Dusan
