      Hi,
Currently the version of Archive to Go we have is 1.0.0.6 and users tend to run this on windows XP to produce their Groupwise archive.

We also have Groupwise 6.5.4 full client.

If a user tries to run the Viewer in Windows 7, then they get the following error:

Exception EIniFileException in module viewer.exe at 0005E759.
Unable to write to C:UsersJohnAppDataRoamingAdvansysArchive To Goviewer.ini where John is logged in user.

I find that if I download the trial version of 1.5.0.4 that this works OK.

However, many of our users already have archives created via 1.0.0.6, is there any solution for this other than the users using 1.5.0.4 and then recreating their archives?

      Thanks,
      Paul

        Thanks for your enquiry.

The Viewer (version 1.5.0.4) in Archive To Go is available as a free download. See this featured topic for details on how to deploy this version to existing archives.

Thanks for the reply, tried what you suggested but doesn’t seem to work for an existing archive from 1.0.06.

In windows vista, I get class not registered when double-clicking on Viewer.exe.

Regarding the error ‘class not registered’:

              – Is there any other information displayed, eg. a long sequence of numbers like ‘{2933BF90-7B36-11D2-B20E-00C04F983E60}’?
              – Do any other errors appear, apart from ‘class not registered’?

It may be easiest to send a screen shot of any error to support@advansyscorp.com.

Is Internet Explorer installed? If so, which version?

It’s possible that installing MSXML3 will fix this problem.

I look forward to your reply.

I initially got the first message I reported in the beginning. Now all I get is Class not registered when I double-click on Viewer.exe. I click OK and get into the software but I can’t see any of the mail.
Clicking on X to close the application gives:
‘Access violation at address 0053AC86 in module a2goview.exe. Read of address 00000048.’

Choosing File Exit gives no error.

Will try downloading what you suggest and see if that helps.

IE 8. Downloading the MSXML3 didn’t resolve problem.
                  Will send screenshots to support@advansyscorp.com.
                  Thanks.
