      Hello,

we have a problem with the vbs-association. We´re using the 2.01 runtime and vbs in our logon-scripts.

When different users work on the same machine sometimes the “The Windows Script Host Has Been Disabled.”-message appears after logon, even when the “Disable the VBS/VBE association everytime I start GroupWise”-Option is disabled.

Restoring the association doesn´t help very long.

On machines only used by the same user, everything seems to be fine.

      Regards,

      maratz

Do all users have the “Disable the VBS/VBE association everytime I start GroupWise” disabled?

As this feature is a user specific registry entry, you may have the situation where some users have the feature enabled and others have it disabled. This could cause the symptoms you describe.

As long as it is disabled for all users of the machine, it should work correctly.

Please let us know if this information does not help solve the problem.

        Regards,

I think (but i am not absolute sure, i will check asap) all users have the “Disable the VBS/VBE association everytime I start GroupWise”-option disabled.

We never enabled it and as far as I know, the runtime 2.01 does not enable it by default.

You are correct that Formativ 2.0.1 does not disable the VBS association by default. This is in contrast to previous versions (earlier than 2.0.1), which did disable the associations by default.

Please let us know if you confirm that no user has this feature set to disable the VBS associations.
