Just installed Runtime 2.0 and the Multiple Signature solution on a Win XP Pro SP2 workstation. GW ver. 6.5.5 and the “Applets” menu item will appear up to 8 times until I restart GW. Any idea what is causing this. Everything else seems to work so far.

      Thanks all

It sounds like something has gone awry during installation of Formativ Runtime. You note that “the ‘Applets’ menu item will appear up to 8 times until I restart GW.” Did this happen only once after installation? When you restart GW is there only one Applets menu?

Could you send the Formativ configuration to support@advansyscorp.com, please? You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your reply email (or save it to a plain-text file and include it as an attachment).

Thanks for the reply. When I restart GW the applet menu only appears once, initially. It when then start to appear over a period of minutes. I will send the config asap.

          Thanks again.

We haven’t had any report about this type of issue. Looking forward to see your Formativ configuration.

Ok. I finally have the config from the user’s workstation. I think things are running ok, but can support take a look at it?

Your configuration information shows that custom solutions installed (i.e. irgwmssettings_flexalock.vbf, irgwms_flexalock.vbf, etc). What are the integrations of these custom solutions (i.e GroupWise OnStartup, On message arrival, etc)?

We will recommend you to go through the process of elimination path. Please uninstall all custom solutions, leaving only “Multiple Signatures” the active applet and restart GroupWise and try to reproduce the behaviours. If you unable to see the same behaviour then add one applet at a time.

All the applets are store in the following folder. We will recommend you to make a backup of this folder before uninstalling the applets. Uninstall the applets using Control Panel – “Add or Remove programs” utility.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, those custom solutions are put out by my SPAM filtering company to allow each user to access their own hold queue. This allows them to manage all held email. The company is Intellireach and the software running is the GroupWise client. The appearance of the Applet menu item only happens with both the Multi-Sig and Intellireach are running at the same time. If I disable one or the other the problem is gone. Any work arounds?

“Multiple Signature” solution integrates to GroupWise toolbar, email toolbar and run menu. We think the run menu integration is causing the problem when Intellireach solutions installed. What are the integrations of the solutions provided by Intellireach?

Another thought, may be you can disable the run menu integration of multiple signature or other applets. You can change the applet integrations using Formativ Studio or Creator (Open Formativ IDE – select the applet – Click Integrations tab – uncheck “This applets appears on the run menu” option).

Ok. I have been playing around with it and have even spoke to support at Intellireach. The latest GW client (which I have from them) does not use Formativ any longer. While experimenting with Studio (did not fix any problem) I found that if I select an email and hit my delete key to trash the mail, that’s when the multiple occurrences of the “Applet” menu item happen. If I drag the email to the trash there is no multiple occurrences. This only pertains to email that have a signature inserted using multi-sig. Any of my other email it will not occur. How’s that for confusing?

During all this, I still cannot get the “Applets” menu to disappear. Everything still works dispite the multiple menu items. Is there a way to completely eliminate it? I have tried the control panel and using Studio. It is still there.

This sounds like a unique problem. If you don’t need the IntelliReach solutions and removing them solves the problem, this sounds like the best approach.
