      Hi

Just wondering if there are any planned updates to A2G for support for GroupWise 2012?
Or indeed what’s next on the horizon?

        Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your question. Earlier testing of A2Go during the GroupWise 2012 beta did reveal a problem which the Novell GroupWise team resolved promptly. Our testing so far with the GroupWise 2012 release code looks good and, while it is still early with respect to broader testing of GroupWise 2012 in the field, we are hoping that no other issues will surface for our current codebase.

This is being reviewed soon once we assess the take-up of GroupWise 2012. Our customers use Archive To Go in many different scenarios. Do you have any specific features you would like to see in the product? If you do, can you provide some background on the business case behind your requirements? If you would like to take this type of feedback offline, please feel free to send an email to supportATadvansyscorp.com.

        Kind regards,

        Advansys Support

Any update on this? We just upgraded to GW 2012 and now we cannot connect ARchiveToGo to the primary domain. We get an error:

          TrustedApplicationConnectException

Thanks for your post. We are not aware of any outstanding issues with Archive To Go and GroupWise 2012. You may need to recreate the system connection within Archive To Go, which should recreate the trusted application key.

If you cannot resolve the issue through a system environment review and clean Archive To Go configuration on the existing or another workstation, to gather additional test results, we can provide a trusted application test program.

            Kind regards,

            Advansys Support

Thanks for the info. Yes, clean workstation exhibits the behavior as well. It simply will not re-create the trusted app no matter what. You can email the trusted app test program (although we have other software that works just fine) to: kjhurni@gw.dec.state.ny.us

Again with a GW2012 system with the Primary Domain hosted on OES2 Linux (NSS)

All rights have been double checked, but the Tapp creation fails with the TrustedApplicationConnectException error. Is this due to the new “Only Create Tapp entries via ConsoleOne” policy that was implemented in GW802?

                  Thanks

                  Tim

                    Hi Tim,

Thanks for your message. Recently we were worked with Novell and another customer to determine what caused this problem. The solution is that Novell updated the gwtapp.dll file (GroupWise Trusted Application dll) for GroupWise 2012. We will be creating a specific GroupWise 2012 installer soon, which will include this file. In the mean time, you can download the latest Novell gwtapp.dll from our site:

                    http://beta.advansyscorp.com/gw2012/gwtapp.dll

Please replace the existing GWTApp.dll file located in the Archive To Go program folder (C:Program Files (x86)AdvansysArchive To Go or C:Program FilesAdvansysArchive To Go) with the new gwtapp.dll file. Please note that Novell has not tested this update with GroupWise client versions prior to 2012 and it is not guaranteed to work with any other version than 2012.

Please let us know if this solves your problem.

                    Kind Regards,

                    Advansys Support
