I am using ZEN to install GW 7.0.3b with runtime as an addon. On an XPsp2 workstation, the user is logged in as a power user.

Everything appears to install correctly but runtime is not available in GW.

If the user is logged in as administrator everything works fine after the install.

We haven’t had any report about this issue, it could be environmental. Please see below some suggestions.

        – May be you can try to use ZENworks to install Formativ.
        – May be you need to log-in as administrator then try to install the products.
        – Does this behaviour appear on all machine, few machine or specific user?
        – If the behaviour appear on a specific machine/user then may be you need install it manually.

        Hope this helps.

it is not a problem specific to a user or machine,
As I said in the origonal post, Logged in as administor it installs just fine, problem is our users are logged in as “power users” with rights to install applications. Other applications install just fine (GroupWise, contactWise, office, ect.. ) it is just formativ runtime that is having problems.

Sorry for the delay in our response.

Are you able to re-produce the same behaviour when you install Formativ Runtime manually?

Yes even when installing manually as a power user runtime does not install propperly, I did however identify several reg keys and folders (usinf file and regmon) that the power user needed rights to.

once we give the power user those rights it should install Ok
