    I’m evaluating Formativ for deployment on our Windows 2003 & Citrix environment.

    After installing the Formativ runtime on a test Win2003 server and starting the GroupWise (v7.0) client, I get the error:

    “An incomplete installation has been detected. Please reinstall the product and try again.”

    I’ve found a forum topic from almost 2 years ago, which seems to relate to the same problem as I’m having. However, this is not an upgrade of any previous version of Formativ, and I’m installing as the domain administrator. Can anyone help us complete our evaluation?

    We just purchased Formativ licenses for 50 incidences of Runtime on various workstations.

    I was able to install the license over the trial version on MY workstation, where I have ADMIN rights. But I get the “incomplete installation” error message when I attempt to install the product on a “secretary workstation.” Could you email the solution to me, too???

    The information we send is specific to Citrix installations. For standard Windows workstation installations, this error message will occur when the user, in this case a ‘secretary workstation’, does not have write access to the Windows folder, either during installation or when Formativ Runtime or Formativ solutions are being registered.

    Could I get the solution? I’m installing on a Windows 2003 Terminal Server with SP1 and I’m getting the “incomplete installation” error.

    We have installed the Formativ Runtime on a machine with Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. The “incomplete installation” error shows up at the start of Groupwise 7, too.
    The Formativ Registration Utility informs us that the status of the Runtime 2.0.1 is expired.

    Could we get a solution for this situation, couldn’t we?

    We suggest that when evaluating Advansys Formativ, you should install the product on a client (not server) machine.

    Note: In order to take advantage of the full trial period of the unlicensed software, please ensure that it has not been installed on the machine previously.

    Could I also get the solution? I’ve installed on a Windows 2003 R2 Terminal Server and I’m getting the “incomplete installation” error for everyone other than the user under which it was installed.
