Advansys is pleased to announce the release of the Presentation Pack 2.2, which includes the updated Stationery 2.2.0 applet.

Stationery makes it easy to create impressive, professional email communication and version 2.2 is specifically designed to take advantage of GroupWise 2014 R2.  Advansys worked closely with the GroupWise engineering team to optimize Stationery operation with 2014’s signature and HTML features.  See below for more details.

Stationery 2.2

  • Stationery examples updated to HTML 5 specification supported by GroupWise 2014 R2.
  • Stationery examples provided for both iso-8859-1 and utf-8 character set encodings.
  • Optimized for operation with GroupWise 2014 R2 (14.2).
  • Added signature placeholder toolbar button in stationery editor.
  • In GroupWise 2014 R2, when stationery is loaded which has the signature placeholder,
GroupWise automatically moves the default GroupWise draft message signature placeholder,
located at the bottom of the message, to the stationery’s placeholder location.
  • Supports utf-8 character set encoding.
  • Other minor fixes.

GroupWise Signatures Enhancement

GroupWise 2014 R2 includes a new feature which recognizes special signature placeholder code, inserted using Stationery 2.2, within your HTML stationery.  When loading stationery containing this placeholder, GroupWise 2014 R2 automatically moves the standard GroupWise signature code block to the placeholder location within your stationery HTML.  This feature provides maximum flexibility for your HTML stationery design and prevents the GroupWise signature block from always appearing at the end of your stationery.

GroupWise 2014 Tip

Unlike previous versions of GroupWise, 2014 enables you to embed remotely located images within your messages without them being added as attached images when sent.  Previous GroupWise versions will download and attach the images to the message, which could substantially increase the size of the email.  Now you can insert an image using http:\\image-location\image and it will be dynamically load from its URL when the message is viewed.

The downside to the remote URL approach is that if the viewer has no Internet access, the images will not display.
