Hi,
Advansys cannot provide support for this issue but Sean Kirkby (sk) from Concentrico (http://www.concentrico.net) above can offer consulting services. He knows GroupWise very well (GW Guru status), is a third party GroupWise developer and is an Advansys Partner.
I recommend you contact Sean as he suggests above. He is based in Utah, which makes telephone contact far easier for you.
However, as you have not been able to get the file(s) which Sean described, i.e. a copy of the domain database, you may not be able to solve the problem.

The information we send is specific to Citrix installations. For standard Windows workstation installations, this error message will occur when the user, in this case a ‘secretary workstation’, does not have write access to the Windows folder, either during installation or when Formativ Runtime or Formativ solutions are being registered.
I hope this helps.

Hi Simon,
Sorry, we didn’t get the time today to provide a full answer on this post and will do so tomorrow.
The Advansys Formativ 2.0.1 installer has not changed the process for handling the ‘All User’ installation and our in-house double-check indicates it is working as designed.
The Token Blocker DLL does add low-level functionality to Formativ.
Tomorrow we will provide more information on the mechanics of the ‘All User’ and Token Blocker operation.

Do you still have the GroupWise Client installed? Are you able to open the archives with the GroupWise Client running in Remote mode?
Regards,
Advansys Support
To access native GroupWise archive email (archives created using the GroupWise Client archive feature) using Archive To Go Viewer, you must first use Archive To Go Creator to export the GroupWise archives into an Archive To Go portable archive.
The Archive To Go Viewer cannot access native GroupWise archives without first exporting them with Archive To Go Creator, which enables you to export multiple GroupWise archives (accessible to the workstation) into a single target portable archive.
If this does not answer your question, please let us know.

We attempted to send the information by direct email but it was rejected at your mail server.
Could you please write to support@advansyscorp.com and request the additional Citrix configuration information.
Regards,
Advansys Support
The information you require to configure Formativ for Citrix will be sent to you via direct email.

January 18, 2006 at 3:47 am in reply to: High memory with Formativ version 2 and Grpwise client 6.5.4 High memory on pc #5987The memory leak of which we are aware is in the workstation client software. We noticed significant performance improvements in address book API read access with 6.5.5 and GroupWise 7.0. However, we have not carried out performance tests on address book entry creation.

As we currently have no known problems with the eDirectory distribution, it is probable the problem lies in a specific environmental or configuration issue.
When configuring your eDirectory installation, did you follow the steps in the eDirectory Quick Start section of the Studio Users Guide?
In order to identify the problem, we will need to gather information about your installation. Can you please send to support@advansyscorp.com, the following information.
1) The Formativ objects you have created in eDirectory, where they are located and what rights have been assigned to them.
2) The Formativ Studio configuration information by selecting the GroupWise client’s Help menu, select About Formativ, select the Configuration tab and use the Copy to Clipboard button, then paste the config info into the email to Support.
After receiving the information above, we should hopefully be able to start tracing the source of the problem.

Advansys Support
