Thanks for your question. Currently Archive To Go is designed to export the complete mailbox and not a folder subset.
There is no way to delete unwanted folders from an account after export, although you can use the troubleshooting feature, shown in this post, to export folder contents from a specific folder onwards. You can drag the desired folder to the bottom of the target mailbox and set it to the be the starting point for content export. This approach still means that you have the entire original GroupWise mailbox folder structure within the exported archive, although all folders will be empty except for folders below the specified ‘troubleshooting’ folder. After reply to this post, I will update the troubleshooting entry to include access to an Advansys Formativ Express Applet which enables you to set the troubleshooting ‘start’ folder from within the GroupWise client.
The features you require are top priority for Version 2.0, which is planned for release in Q2, 2007. In the mean time, the shared folder approach seems to be another good idea for an interim work-around.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

This problem should only occur when GroupWise does not assign a display name to the message. Normally GroupWise should substitute the email address when a display name cannot be resolved by the GroupWise Address Book.
Are you experiencing this issue with your exports?
The next release is scheduled for January 2007. However a beta will be available in the next few days. Please let us know if you would like to test it.

Novell confirmed today that a defect was in the 7.0.1 15.11.2006 codebase (update – a fix was implemented by Novell engineering on December 1). The bug had a broader impact than the OnOpen event and is resolved for the next interim and beta releases.
Thank you again for bringing this issue to our attention.

We are always looking at new ways to extend Formativ. New functions will be incorporated via extension of our Formativ Framework for .NET 1.0, which is used in Message Saver 2.0 and Archive To Go.
With a product as broad as Formativ, to help ensure that Formativ remains compatible and that the GroupWise APIs are not broken, significant resources are required to test beta GroupWise releases, in particular for new major versions. These efforts must take precedence over new feature development.
We would welcome your feedback on features you would like to see in future Formativ versions. Please send them to support@advansyscorp.com.

If you are not doing so already, it may be worth trying the latest client: Novell Client for Windows 2000/XP/2003 4.91 SP3

We have been able to reproduce the problem and have reported it to Novell.
Thanks again for letting us know.

Just installing Archive To Go onto a workstation will not result in a trusted application key being created in GroupWise.
When you define a system when running Archive To Go, the GroupWise trusted application key will be created automatically for that workstation’s current Windows user.

Thanks very much for the additional information. We couldn’t see anything obvious from the configuration files, although they do differ slightly with respect to the applet caching settings. This may be because there is no eDirectory object found (as you documented).
We will run this issue by Novell and see if there is something going on behind the scenes.
We have duplicated a separate problem which relates to the OnOpen event which you reported while running the 15/11/2006 release.

In the case of multiple eDirectory Trees, customer feedback also indicates that Enterprise Mode should work if you authenticate to all Trees. This appears to be related to a requirement of the trusted application mechanism.

User Account Status
Another issue which prevents Archive To Go login access is if the user’s account is locked or disabled.

Thank you for sending the configuration information to support. We will review and get back to you at the earliest opportunity.

We have not heard of this issue previously. However, to help us better understand the environment, could you please email us your Formativ Configuration in both circumstances, i.e. when you login during/after Windows XP startup.
Not that it should be relevant to the cause but do you have intelligent applet caching enabled? You can see the settings in the Formativ Control Panel Applet (Windows Control Applet).
If you are not already aware, you can send us the Formativ configuration information by selecting the GroupWise client’s Help menu, select About Formativ, select the Configuration tab and use the Copy to Clipboard button, then paste the config info into an email to support@advansyscorp.com.

You may need to check your MAPI configuration for the default address book provider. It appears that the GroupWise APIs are using the base Windows MAPI configuration, which appears to indicate that GroupWise thinks MS Exchange is the default address book provider.

We’ve installed and tested Formativ here with IE7 but have not found similar issues. We’ve used it in both local mode and using eDirectory libraries and tested Formativ Portal operation. What is also unusual, your post is the first report of potential problems with Formativ and IE7 that we have received.
Perhaps it is related to a change in a security level introduced by IE7? While it wasn’t related to Formativ, we found we had to change some advanced trust settings for the local Intranet zone in the Internet settings, otherwise we couldn’t run anything from the network without getting an ‘untrusted application’ warning. We had to add the file server path to the Advanced trust settings for the Intranet zone. Some .NET applications would not run from the network until this security setting was changed on the workstation, even though the Windows .NET security Wizard was previously used to set full trust to the Intranet zone. There may be another way to achieve this outcome but we have not investigated further.
What do you mean by no solutions are found? Are there any error messages? Are your applets stored on a local drive or in a network location?
On the system which no long works with Formativ, please send us the Formativ configuration information by selecting the GroupWise client’s Help menu, select About Formativ, select the Configuration tab and use the Copy to Clipboard button, then paste the config info into an email to support@advansyscorp.com.

Have you tried using the /regpack-<registration code> switch?
For example,
presentation_pack.exe /s /regpack-<registration code>
The /r switch is used for the Formativ Framework installers and not the solutions.
Another option is to use a license file, which you can place in the same location as the Presentation Pack installer. When the installer runs, it should copy the license file into the correct location. If you don’t have a license file, please contact sales.

Thanks for your post and feedback. If we were to supply you with the source code for this Formativ Central Applet, do you have the programming skills in-house to modify it?
