Thanks for your enquiry. Since BrainShare, we’ve had to split our release plans to include a couple of versions. Instead of 2.0 being released this year after the current 1.2, we are releasing Archive To Go 1.5 first, which is just about to go into beta. The main features include date range and private item filtering, folder selection and streamlined UI.
While bulk account processing is in our future development plans, it did not make it into 1.5. How critical is this to your operation? What operational features would you expect in a bulk archive option? 1.5 is considered feature complete but if you required an “entry level” bulk archive feature, it may (note the italics) be something we can revisit with engineering. Feel free to post here or write directly to support@advansyscorp.com.
If your organization already owns a license for Archive To Go, and you would like to test the beta, please send an email to support@advansyscorp.com.

Under normal circumstances, the Archive To Go Viewer should only request specific media when you attempt to open a message which resides on that media. For example, if you have DVD2 (i.e. media-02) inserted and you attempt to open a message which resides on DVD1, the Viewer should show the insert Volume 1 (media-01) into the CD/DVD drive.
Could it be you are attempting to view a message which resides on volume 1 (DVD1) when DVD2 or DVD3 is installed? If not, to help us replicate the problem, we need to know the exact steps which result in this error. You can detail them here or feel free to write directly to support@advansyscorp.com.

We are currently finalizing the approach we will use in an updated Formativ environment for Vista, which will eliminate the error you describe in your post.
In the mean time, there is a work-around, which we will communicate to you by direct email.

When you run Formativ Studio (from GW client on the Win2K3 server), in the bottom left hand side of the Formativ Studio dialog, does it show Administratory Mode (your email address)?
I presume you configured the FormativAdministrator Role object with the appropriate rights etc., as shown in the eDirectory Quick Start section of the Formativ Studio Guide?
Presumably you are logged into eDirectory as the correct user (associated with the Formativ Configuration object, AdvansysFvConfig, which should be configured via ConsoleOne to point to a Formativ Applet Library – AdvansysFvScripLib) with appropriate rights?
Can you please send the Formativ Configuration information to support@advansyscorp.com. You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your reply email (or save it to a plain-text file and include it as an attachment).

You don’t need the LDAP Server if you are using the Novell Client on the workstation where you are running Formativ Runtime and your applet solution. Formativ Runtime should leverage the Novell Client authentication to access eDirectory and discover the config object, which in turn, should show you the associated Applet Libraries. As you may be aware, you will need to be logged into eDirectory as the appropriate user etc.
Most times the cause will come down to a rights issue or another configuration problem.
If you cannot resolve the problem, for each workstation with the eDirectory access issues, can you send the Formativ Configuration information to support@advansyscorp.com.
You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your reply email (or save it to a plain-text file and include it as an attachment).

Version 1.2 requires you to first uninstall an earlier version. The uninstall/install process will preserve existing configuration files.

Sorry for the delay in our response. Unfortunately this is a security limitation in the MS IE ActiveX. There is no way that you can work around it apart from eliminating pop-up windows from the secure site design.

This is not yet possible. As background, the initial product focus was to provide a stand-alone archive. It is a feature which is currently being considered for inclusion in version 2.0. However, we will discuss with engineering whether this functionality could be included in the next interim release and let you know.

As a follow-up to our reply above, during our product planning meeting today, we have decided to release another interim version prior to 2.0. The proposed release will include date range filtering. We are aiming for a May release. We will let you know as soon as a preview beta becomes available.

Thank you for your post. We are in the process of releasing an interim release, Archive To Go 1.2, but this does not include date filtering, which is planned for Version 2.0.
1.2 includes auditing (including GWAVA Redline option), separate export of GroupWise native archives, GroupWise Resource support for Enterprise mode, Trash folder option, GW 6.0.4 support, Forward/Reply in the Archive To Go Viewer, plus other fixes/enhancements.
In the last year much work has been going on behind the scenes to prioritize extraction reliability and compatibility with interim GroupWise releases. This offers the strongest base for progressing with additional features, such as date range, category and type filtering. We have been gathering customer feedback during this time and there are many new features planned for 2.0.
We appreciate the need for filtering and this is the top priority for 2.0. If you need further information or wish to discuss your specific requirements, please write directly to support@advansyscorp.com and it will be addressed by the appropriate person.

February 5, 2007 at 4:07 pm in reply to: problem with all day events – Enterprise Calendar Dates #8938Dear Michael,
Thank you for your feedback. We agree that All Day Event support is a good feature to include. While we strive to include all relevant features, we first focus on base reliability with a new GroupWise release (significant work goes on behind the scenes to ensure this, including for interim service packs). After this phase, new feature priority is influenced by requests from existing and potential customers.
We appreciate your need for this feature is urgent and we will aim to deliver an early version to you as soon as it is tested in-house.
We will email you in addition to this reply.
