Trusted App Configuration Questions

I have installed 1.2 as a trusted app and it works well.

It created a Trusted App of Advansys Archive2Go-<machine-name>. If I install on another machine will it create another Trusted App, Advansys Archive2Go-<machine-name2>?

We are thinking of running this on 3 possible machines, do I need to install it on 3 separate machines and have 3 trusted apps: Advansys Archive2Go-<machine-name1>, Advansys Archive2Go-<machine-name2>, Advansys Archive2Go-<machine-name3>?
Is this also enough to only allow it to run on these three machines or do I need to put in the appropriate IP for each? Is their a way to only have one Archive2Go Trusted App and limit it to all (but only) these three machine IPs?

BTW what is the Port #? Can that be ignored?

Yes, it will.

Normally yes. However, you can copy the Systems XML configuration file from one machine to the other machines for the appropriate users. With this option you cannot use the optional workstation IP restriction, which increases trusted application security but is not needed for normal operation.

It is enough to run it on those three machines, either by allowing three separate trusted application keys to be created or by copying the systems XML file between the desired machines.

The workstation IP address field is not designed to accept multiple values. While that needs to be confirmed with the engineering team, the answer is likely to be no at this stage.

A Port # can optionally be specified for the trusted application to use. If you don’t wish to specify a different one, you should be able to leave this value at zero “0” and still use the IP address restriction. This statement needs to be double checked with the engineering team.
