      hy there!

i’ve got a problem with the formativ runtime. it’s correctly installed and registered.

when i start the groupwise-client, it’s showing in the splashscreen the feature of advansys formativ. but in groupwise, I can’t see the menu Applets.

Anyone an idea? Thank you very much…

      Regards

We haven’t had any report about this issue. Could you please post your Formativ configuration information. You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard.

        Regards,

          Hello,

I am having a similar problem with the Runtime and the Template Solutions software. I have installed both programs under an adminstrator profile for several computers in my office. Under the Admin’s profile I can see the “SmartFields Assistant” and “Templates(Hold SHIFT key to switch user mode)” icons in the Groupwise Toolbar. The problem is when the user is logged in and opens Groupwise, I see “Advansys Formative” on the splash screen, but the SmartFields and Template icons aren’t there. Also “Applets” doesn’t appear on the menu bar. I do see the little arrow in the system tray, which means application is running. When I right-click on it, I only have the option to stop the program. Another thing I noticed is that neither application shows up in the start menu for users, only for the admin profile I installed the application with.
I tried giving the user full read/write access to the Groupwise and Advansys program folders, but it still doesn’t work when logged in under the user’s profile. Does this program require a user to have full admin rights to run?
I am unable to retrieve the configuration information from the users computer, because the About Formativ options don’t appear for them under Help. Below is the configuration info for my setup, but I not having an issue, I guess because my profile is the Adminstrator. The setup should all be the same for the computer’s in the office though.

Sorry to hear about the issue.

Looks like it may be the rights issue to the limited access user. Can you try the suggestions (posted June 14, 2006 12:11 AM) from the following thread.
