Can’t install runtime & exclude applets

I’m trying to automate the runtime installation and I want to exclude the 30-day business solutions applets. I’m using the latest build of the runtime (1.5. and my command line is:

formativruntime /s /i-config.ini /r-xxxxxx

The runtime gets installed silently and it’s registered, but even though my config.ini indicates to NOT install local applets, I get the 30-day business solutions applets. I’ve tried uninstalling and trying my command line over and over, but the results are the same.

My config.ini file is in the same directory as the EXE, and I have set the parameter “Install Local… = 0” but I still get the local applets.

Thank you for your posting. I have tried to duplicate this without success. I am able to exclude installation of the BSP applets via a config.ini file.

There must be some other variable not present when I attempt to duplicate this. Could you please email a copy of the config file you are using to support@advansyscorp.com and I’ll try again using your file.

We discovered an example config.ini installed with the Distribution Kit contains a reference to an obsolete value name. The documentation in the Kit is correct.

One of the examples in the Distribution Kit contains the following line:

Install Local Macros and Data=0

This should read:

Install Local Applets and Data=0

The first version is not recognised by the installer, resulting in the BSP applets being installed. The second (correct) version works.
