      Thanks for your enquiry.

At present Archive To Go supports defining preset configuration parameters, but there is no way to force these parameters to apply.

To preset the configuration parameters, run Creator as though you were about to archive an account. On each of the configuration screens, choose the options that you want to be your customized defaults. When you reach the Confirmation screen, press Cancel. The parameters will be saved to the Windows Application Data folder for the “roaming user”, usually:

      C:Documents and Settings[User Name]Application DataAdvansysArchive To Gosettings.xml

You will need to distribute this file to all users of Archive To Go; it must be copied into the equivalent “roaming Application Data” folder for each user.

Note: Your users’ roaming Application Data folders may be network-based, if the system administrator has set up a Windows policy to do this.

I hope this helps. If the approach outlined above does not suit your requirement, you may wish to consider a customised solution; in that case please write a detailed description to support@advansyscorp.com.

            Thanks for your post.

Which versions of the .NET Framework, if any, are installed in addition to version 1.1?

A third option to try (in addition to the two you mention) is to increase your machine’s trust level for the Intranet zone. This is done as follows:

            • Open Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards.
            • On the page What Would You Like to Modify? choose Make changes to this computer. Click Next.
            • On the page Adjust the Security Level for Each Zone choose Local Intranet, then move the slider up to Full Trust. Click Next.
            • Click Finish.

            I hope this helps.

                  Thanks for reporting this problem.

We have seen this behaviour on rare occasions, and it seems to happen at random. For the moment there is no known solution or fix, and we suggest that if this happens you use Task Manager to terminate Creator, then start Creator to archive another account.

                    Thanks for your enquiry.

Archive To Go is a standalone installation to the workstation only. The installer does not modify the GroupWise client (which is required to be on the same workstation), nor does it modify the GroupWise server system.

The only way in which Archive To Go can change a GroupWise system is by:

                    • Retrieving data, which I believe changes the Opened flag of a Message to TRUE automatically.
                    • Creating a trusted application key, which is required for Enterprise access.

                    I hope this helps.

                            Thanks for your enquiry.

Incremental archiving is an enhancement that is planned for inclusion in Archive To Go 2.0. At this stage we expect that this version will be available during Q3 2008.

I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or comments.

Your hint is absolutely right. Recently another customer reported this problem, with the following important note:

                              quote:

FYI, this GW client does not live connect or caching mode connect to a GW post office. It is in remote mode only and only checks POP3 email accounts.

The error detail indicates that some data Creator expects to find in the Windows Registry is missing. Can you check, please, whether the following key exists in the Registry?

                                HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareNovellGroupWiseLogin Parameters

If the key exists, can you confirm that the following sub-keys exist?

                                Account Name
                                PostOfficePath
                                TCP/IP Address
                                TCP/IP Port

If all (or some) of the above do not exist, it’s because GroupWise has not been used in a mode that leads to it creating these keys. For the moment you will need to create the missing keys manually using Regedit. Note that when using Regedit, the default item “(Default)” value for each key must be changed from “(Value not set)” to blank. Alternatively, run the .REG file which has been sent to your email address; it creates the keys and sets their values to blank.

                              Regards,
