Regards,
Advansys SupportWe are working on the FML Restorer product which will convert Archive To Go archives or Advansys portable messages (FML files) to GroupWise. This product currently in development stage and we are expecting to release later this year.
In the meantime, you can use our PST Creator to convert Advansys Archive To Go archives or Advansys portable messages (FML files) into Microsoft® Outlook® PST format, then use our free Personal Outlook Migration solution to migrate data from Microsoft Outlook 2000 (or above) to GroupWise 6.02 (or above).
If you are interested to test PST Creator then send a message to support (support@advansyscorp.com).
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Advansys SupportWe haven’t had any report about this specific issue.
Do you see choose a profile selection dialog when running the solution or the error message appear when you start? Please see the following thread for known issues (i.e. MAPI settings, make sure Outlook client not running, etc):

The behaviour could be environmental, can you re-produce it another machine? If the problem persists, you may need to re-install the Outlook client.
Hope this helps. Let us know how you go.

Advansys SupportIssue 1: You will need the Microsoft Outlook client 2000 or higher and GroupWise client to the target machine (see the System requirements for more information).
Personal Outlook Migration solution lets you to migrate accounts which are available in Outlook client. If the PST file not opened/loaded in Outlook client then you will need to open it prior to import (Outlook client – File – Open – Outlook data file).
Issue 2: We have received similar reports (see below), make sure the MAPI configuration setup according to the documentation.

Advansys SupportFormativ Runtime 2.0 should work on GroupWise 6.0.4.
Based on the applet description, “Delete attachments from the selected message” solution should work on the GroupWise 6.0.4 (see below the applet description). However, we always recommend to our users to upgrade the GroupWise client to latest point release or next version (i.e. GroupWise 7/8).

‘ Delete attachments from the selected message(s)

‘
‘ DESCRIPTION:
‘
‘ Storing large numbers of email messages with attachments can place a strain on
‘ your GroupWise data storage requirements. This applet lets you remove attachments
‘ from received messages, minimizing the space required to store your GroupWise
‘ data. Simply select a message and click the Delete Attachments button that
‘ has been added to the mail toolbar.
‘
‘ There are some restrictions. You need to be using GroupWise 6 SP1 or greater. You
‘ cannot remove attachments from messages in shared or query folders. The applet
‘ does not process the mime.822 attachment associated with some messages. If the
‘ mime.822 file contains encoded attachments, these will not be removed.
‘
‘ NOTE:
‘ – The version 1.7.0 was tested with GroupWise 7.0.1 (14/12/2006).
‘ – This solution was tested with GroupWise online mode.
‘
‘
‘ KNOWN ISSUES:
‘ – Do not preserve advanced message properties (e.g. categories, check-list, personal subject, etc).
In response to your support email enquiry.

My other question is, do these utilities affect only the GroupWise 6 attachments or do they affect also the GroupWise 6 Server files as well?
This solution operate on GroupWise client not the server side. It will delete attachments from the selected messages.
Hope this helps.

Advansys SupportMarch 5, 2009 at 3:50 pm in reply to: Outlook Migration – access violation at adress XYZ in module ntdll.dll #8444Thanks for your post. Unfortunately, we haven’t any report about the ntdll.dll error on the Personal Outlook Migration solution.
We have received few reports about the ntdll.dll error when user view or applet access shared folders, address books, etc. The cause of the error still unknown and appear to be GroupWise client related.
A quick Google search on “ntdll.dll” turns up several threads, it appears to faulty printer drivers, terminal server, etc.

http://forums.novell.com/novell-product-support-forums/groupwise/groupwise-6x/gw6-clients/76003-groupwise-crashes.htmlWe would suggest you to re-install the GroupWise client to latest point release. It also could be environmental, can you re-produce the behaviour to another machine or user?
Regards,
Advansys SupportWe are glad to see you have found a good workaround to the problem and appreciate you posting.
Regards,
Advansys SupportYou can add the local or remote image to a GroupWise message. If you add a local image then image will be added as attachment to the GroupWise message. However, if you add remote image then the image will not be added as attachment but will require internet access and any settings (i.e. Outlook automatic download image options) to view the image.
You can update the Stationery source to change the image location. For example, you can update the sample “Flight Itinerary” which comes with the Stationery solution to change its image location from remote to a local image. The code below use the same image but a local copy:
<TABLE height=400 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=597 align=center bgColor=#0f4378 background="c:tempFlight_Itinerary_i01.jpg" border=0>We suggests to use HTML editor (not MS Word) or Notepad to update the stationery.
Regards,
Advansys SupportAs you can view the embedded image in GroupWise, other web based email but not in Outlook client which appear the issue is relate to Outlook client settings.
Remote Image inserter solution use a special technique by adding image as background which lets the image not to add as attachments to the message. You can view the sent message source in GroupWise client to get more information.
You can try the following Outlook settings to enable message background images.
quote:
The Outlook client’s (2003 and 2007) automatic download settings block pictures in HTML messages. If the HTML message contains background images then Outlook client will not display these images unless you turn off “Don’t download pictures or other content automatically in HTML e-mail” checkbox.
In Outlook 2003, see the Tools – Options – Security – “Change Automatic Download settings” for more information.
In Outlook 2007, click Tools, then Trust Center to open the Trust Center. In the left Trust Center pane, click Automatic download.
See the article for more information: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP073107391033.aspx
Hope this helps. Please let us know how you go.
