Thanks for your enquiry.
You can configure the caching behavior using either of the following:
- The Advansys Formativ applet in the Windows Control Panel. On the tab Local Config, check the box at Update Applet cache on client startup (this box is grayed out if not using Formativ Runtime).
- The Configuration Object in eDirectory. Go to the Formativ Configuration page and check the box at Update Applet cache on client startup. See the Users Guide for details and screen shots, section Using Formativ with eDirectory | eDirectory Installation and Configuration | Step 4 – Create Formativ Objects in eDirectory | Configuration Object.
I hope this helps you.

Which edition/version of Windows are you using?
Are you using Windows as a thin client served by Citrix or Windows Terminal Services?
I look forward to your reply.

Unfortunately the project engineer who has expertise with Contacts Migration is on vacation until early February. It could take some time to determine the cause.
In the meantime, please send your Formativ configuration to support@advansyscorp.com. You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your reply email (or save it to a plain-text file and include it as an attachment).

The name of the assigned Config object is listed in the Formativ configuration. You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab. The 5th and 6th lines should look something like:
quote:
Caching Protocol: NDAP
Config “CN=Admin Configuration.OU=Formativ.O=IPE” located in GROUP “CN=FormativAdmins.O=IPE”
I hope this helps.

The ChainApplet feature will not work if the applet’s integrations are disabled. I will investigate the reason for this design.
In the meantime, perhaps you could enable the applet’s integrations but remove all the integrations that you don’t want it to have?
I hope this helps.

Please send the log file (from both archive attempts, if available), compressed if larger than 200KB, to support@advansyscorp.com.
I look forward to your reply.

Advansys SupportThank you for reporting this problem, which I don’t believe has occurred before.
Please send samples of the following to support@advansyscorp.com:
- The archive log file, which is located in the main archive folder and would be named “bholmes.log” if the archived GroupWise account is “bholmes”.
- The contents of the _metadata folder (zipped). The exported metadata contains only Sender, Recipients, Subject and Date for each message; it contains only Display Name and Email Address for each contact.
I look forward to your reply.
