Thank you for reporting this error.
Have you run a full GWCheck on the account? Is the account a GroupWise native/personal archive?
If you inspect the process log file in the export folder, is the error associated with a particular GroupWise folder?
Are there any folders in this account which contain 5,000 or more items? If so, could you try splitting them into smaller folders like Mailbox-2007, Mailbox-2006, etc.? Then try again to archive this account.
If the problem persists, please send the process log file to support@advansyscorp.com

It’s likely that this exception (below) was caused by running Creator a second time (where the first time it did not terminate fully):
quote:
The process cannot access the file “msa00000.tmp” because it is being used by another process.
This is not a known problem in Creator, and it is difficult to draw any conclusions without knowing more about your environment. For this log message I would suggest restarting the machine before trying again to archive the account. However it sounds like there is more to the situation than is revealed by the log message. Could you send the log file, please, to support@advansyscorp.com?

Was there an error during the archiving process? If so, please send the process log file to support@advansyscorp.com.
Is the archive on a hard drive or CD/DVD?
When Archive To Go creates an archive, it builds a folder structure as follows (based on account ID “fullers”):
fullers Archive + media-01 + _metadata + _viewer + data
Given this structure, folder “fullers Archive” should contain viewer.exe (it should also contain the process log file “fullers.log”). Folder “_viewer” should contain a2goview.exe. Does your archive look similar?

Advansys SupportThank you for reporting this problem.
Does the indexing process simply stop or do you see an error appear? If there is an error message, please quote it in your reply.
What is the size of the archive? How much free space is available on the primary hard drive (regardless of the archive location)?
Which version of Indexer is failing? To find out, use File Explorer to navigate to the _viewer folder within the archive. Then mouse over the file “a2goindexer.exe” to see a popup summary of the properties which includes the version. You can also run Indexer and press the About button.
I look forward to your reply.

We believe that the error “Invalid Unicode character” is caused by invalid data in one or more XML files. Could you could zip the contents of the “_metadata” folders for each affected archive, and send the resulting zipfiles to support@advansyscorp.com?
The data included in “_metadata” includes only message subject, sender, recipients and date; it does not include message body text. The data may also include contact names and email addresses, if personal address books were archived.
We look forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
Advansys SupportThank you for reporting this issue.
We have confirmed that this is a defect in Archive To Go 1.5, and we expect to issue a fix within 48 hours. Stand by for an update.
Kind regards,
Advansys SupportThe available properties of StringList are listed in the Formativ Language Guide, under Utilities.
I suggest using the Text property to append your string list, as in:
newMail.BodyText = newMail.BodyText & strList.Text
If you need to append more than one ‘chunk’ (or section) of text to BodyText, it is probably more efficient to progressively append the chunks to a string list (eg. strlist.Add). Then assign the resulting string list to BodyText:
strList.Add("Mary had a little lamb") strList.Add("whose fleece was white as snow.") newMail.BodyText = strList.TextI hope this helps.

Please send the process log file and a zipfile containing the contents of the “_metadata” folder to support@advansyscorp.com.
The data included in these files includes only message subject, sender, recipients and date; it does not include message body text. The data may also include contact names and email addresses, if personal address books were archived.

It sounds like you are referring to Advansys Message Viewer. Unfortunately the current release of the product does not make a To/From column available in the item list. However the search feature will find items matching these field values.
As noted here, we plan to add a To/From column to the Viewer. We hope this feature will be available around Q2, 2008.
Regards,
Advansys SupportCan you describe the “different errors about the trust failing”, ie. what is the exact error message? It might be helpful if you could send a screen shot to support@advansyscorp.com.
We are not aware of any reason why a Novell volume could cause this problem.
Were you able to run Finder from the Novell volume? If so, at what point did this other error come up? Was the Viewer running prior to the error?
I look forward to your reply.
Regards,
Advansys SupportDear Nathalie,
Thank you for your inquiry.
The “automatic archiving” you describe is not available in the current release version of Archive To Go. It sounds essentially like batch archiving which is planned for version 2.0 (due around Q2 2008). Batch archiving would process several GroupWise accounts in sequence, optionally including those accounts’ primary native archives.
If you have a more urgent need for automatic archiving, and you would like a customized solution, please write to support@advansyscorp.com, describing your specific requirements in detail.
Regards,
Advansys SupportAt this stage we expect to release 1.5 within 1-2 weeks, i.e. probably before the end of November.
Regarding your other question, we will email you directly about this matter.
Regards,
Advansys SupportFurther to Support 3’s comments, is your code assigning the appropriate value to the Time/DateTime (as opposed to the Date) property?
For example:
with NewTimeRecord .TimeBeginPicker.DateTime = datetimeTimePeriodBegin .TimeEndPicker.DateTime = datetimeTimePeriodEnd endRegards,
Advansys SupportYes, you can create an archive from a GroupWise caching mailbox, i.e. disk folder.
I believe the appropriate switch is:
/pc-<path>
I hope this helps.
