Thank you for clarifying your GroupWise system and its behavior.
It turns out that two other Formativ users (worldwide) have experienced a similar problem. Unfortunately we do not have an immediate solution. Our engineers are working to pinpoint the problem source, which may be a Formativ or third-party software component.
It is also possible that anti-virus software causes the error, either directly or indirectly. You may wish to try Michael6767’s solution posted previously to this forum.
We may be in need of your help to gather more information; if so, we will contact you by direct email.
If anyone else reading this thread has seen a similar error, please send an email to support@advansyscorp.com .

Thank you for your enquiry, and for including the Formativ configuration information.
I am not aware of other reports of the problem you describe with Stationery. Could you provide some more information about the behaviour, as follows?
- The instruction at “0x02d443a6” referenced memory at “0x03fda3a4”. The memory could not be “read”, Click OK to terminate the program. I think this text appears on a dialog. What is the text in the dialog caption (the top bar)?
- Runtime error 216 at 02D443A6. I think this text appears on a dialog. What is the text in the dialog caption (the top bar)?
- Does the error occur when using any other solution in the Presentation Pack?
- Does the error occur on other machines while using the same GroupWise login account?
- Does the error occur while using a different GroupWise login account on the same machine?
- What anti-virus software (product & version) are installed?
I hope to hear from you soon.

October 12, 2004 at 6:30 pm in reply to: Possible project for someone who understands GW (hint Advansys) #7033Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, this is absolutely a worthwhile feature for GroupWise to have.
Your suggestion has been added to the Formativ enhancements database. Right now I cannot give an estimate of when this feature might become available.

Dear James,
Thank you for your enquiry, and welcome to the Formativ community!
The only administrator options available via the Applets menu are accessed by selecting Manage Applets, which opens the development environment Formativ Central. At present this menu item is only available with Formativ 1.6 Admin or Formativ 2.0 Studio.
In addition there is the Windows Control Panel applet Advansys Formativ, for setting a range of configuration options for the Formativ client.
For administrator resources, I recommend you look at the:
- Formativ Users Guide;
- Formativ Administration Tools page here;
- Formativ Distribution Resources page here.

Stuart,
The address book entry name must be resolved to an email address. See the following code sample for a guide on how to do this.
'----------------------------------------------------------- dim iRecipient iRecipient = GroupWise.ItemGetText("X00", itfTo) ' @ symbol is missing, we need to resolve the address if (InStr(1, iRecipient, "@", vbTextCompare) = 0) then ' Get the full email address of a name or resource. iRecipient = GroupWise.AddressBookResolveFullName(iRecipient, "") ' Make sure recipient is an external user, check domain name if (InStr(1, iRecipient, "novell.com", vbTextCompare) = 0) then MsgBox "External Recipient" end if end if '-----------------------------------------------------------I hope this helps you.

Are you running the latest update of the Message Saver Pack? You should find in the README.TXT the most recent entry is 16 September 2004.
Which version of GroupWise is running where the error appears? Does the error appear for all kinds of message (Mail, Appointment, Task, Note, Phone Message) or only one?
It may help us resolve this error if you send the Formativ configuration for the user in question to support@advansyscorp.com . You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your email.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you for you enquiry. At present there is no updated version of Save Message and Attachments.
However you may wish to look at the Advansys Message Saver Pack 1.2, which offers a range of features, including those you have listed. The Pack includes the Message Saver solution which has several configurable settings (including the default disk folder), and provides unattended saving of multiple messages. It also includes a free viewer application which does not require GroupWise to be installed. You can download the Pack for evaluation; more information is available from here.
I hope this helps you.

Thank you for your enquiry.
Unfortunately it is not possible to add columns to the message list view in the current version (1.2) of Message Viewer. In particular, the ability to browse by Sender would be a valuable feature.
However I will pass on your requirement to Engineering to review for inclusion in the next release. At this point I have no information about a likely release date.
In the meantime, you can use the Search feature to find all messages whose text contains a specific sender name.
Once again, thank you for your feedback. Please feel free to post details of anything else that’s on your wish-list for the Message Saver Pack.

I am glad this option suits you.
Please do not hesitate to post queries or other feedback/experiences that you have with Message Saver.
Regards,
Advansys SupportThank you for your enquiry, and for feedback – always valuable!
This problem with saving a folder is to do with automatic selection of a message list item in GroupWise. While you clearly have a folder selected, you will also have one message selected by default. Message Saver gives priority to the selected message(s) over the folder.
At present I know of two ways around this:
- Save the folder. Deselect the first message – either:
a) click the item with the mouse while holding down CTRL, or
b) press CRTL+SPACE - Save all messages. Select all messages in the list – either:
a) press CTRL+A, or
b) scroll to the end of the list, then click the last item while holding down SHIFT (for some reason this is much faster than (a) when there are many items).
Then start Message Saver as usual.
I hope this helps you.

Thank you for your enquiry.
It is possible to change Message Saver to support your requirement.
I have forwarded your request to Engineering for consideration in a future release of the Message Saver Pack. If you require this feature sooner, Advansys offers a custom development service; contact sales@advansyscorp.com to discuss this option.
Note: The problem described in an earlier post (by TWA) has been addressed. In addition, a number of improvements have been made in the current Beta release of the Message Saver Pack. See here for details.
