We haven’t had any report about the skipping full message content. It may be relate to the GW 6.5.4 client. Have you tried to re-produce this behaviour in later GroupWise client? Can you re-produce this behaviour with some specific messages?

All applets supplied to the Novell Cool Solutions Applet Central area are not supported by Novell or Advansys. However, if you have the programming skill in-house to modify then we may be able to send you the open source version.

Sorry to hear about the issue.

Looks like it may be the rights issue to the limited access user. Can you try the suggestions (posted June 14, 2006 12:11 AM) from the following thread.

Are you referring the script as Formativ Applet which is syntactically based on Microsoft Visual Basic® Scripting Edition (VBScript)?

Is there a way to test the scripts with 2.0 runtime and see if they work?

Is the applet is open source or flexalock version? Usually the flexalock version applet has the “_Flexalock.vbf” suffix. You can also determine the applet type (open source/flexalock) by opening the applet in Notepad and view the source, if the source code after the “–>Flexalock” marker not readable then it is flexalock applet.

Formativ Runtime (http://www.advansyscorp.com/formativ_runtime.htm) lets you to executes only Encoded and Flexalockâ„¢ applets. Formativ Studio/Creator allow you to execute all Formativ applet (open source, flexalock, encoded) and lets to you create flexalock/encoded version from an open source.

In a nutshell, if the applet is flexalock then you can execute the applet in Formativ Runtime. You need to place the applet into Formativ Applets folder, usually c:my documentsadvansysformativapplets. If the applet is open source then you need to convert the applet to flexalock using the Formativ Studio/Creator to execute in Formativ Runtime.

Hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

It appear the issue is in the Stationery. Here are some suggestions:

                  • Does the email looks OK in your “Sent Items” folder?
                  • Can you reproduce the same behaviour with another Stationery or perhaps with a sample Stationery supplied with the solution?
                  • Are you able to see the difference between the message created by the problem stationey and message without the stationery. May be you can view source of the two messages.
                  • Make sure the Stationery not created using MS Word. We strongly recommend against using Microsoft Word as your HTML editor. When a Word document is saved as HTML, Word includes HTML codes which make the HTML file incompatible with a GroupWise HTML message. See the help for more information.
                  • If you not running the latest GW client then you may consider to upgrade your GroupWise client to a latest version and try the solution.

If the problem persists then email to support (support@advansyscorp.com) your Formativ Configuration Information and attach the stationery. Please also attach the problem message sent to Outlook.

You can obtain the Formativ configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your reply email (or save it to a plain-text file and include it as an attachment).

Looks like it is Outlook 2003 issue. Could you please clarify the the following questions:

                    quote:

No the problem is only with outlook 2003 that the images are added as a atatchment and the page is displayed as a test and not as html.

                    – Is the behaviour occur if you use the Stationery?
                    – Are you able to re-produce without using the stationery (i.e standard html email with embedded image)?

This Export To Disk (http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tools/14145.html) is a open source solution. You will need the Formativ Studio or Creator (http://www.advansyscorp.com/formativ_framework.htm) to edit the solution. The solution installer will install the open source or flexalock version based on the Formativ Framework (i.e Studio, creator, runtime) you have installed.

In a nutshell, install the Formativ Studio or Creator then run the solution installer which will install the open source version.

                      Hope this helps.

We haven’t had any report about this issue. Looks like the problem could be environmental to your machine as it works on another machine.

Just a recommendation, you are running GroupWise client “7.0.1 13/06/2006” and we was told by the Novell that GroupWise 7 IR1 (prior to 14/12/2006 build) had some bugs in relation to the OnOpen and some other events. May be you can upgrade the GroupWise client to the latest release then test your solution.

Let us know if you have any questions.

We have updated the applet and sent to your email address. The updated applet lets you to specify the character encoding to use in the stationery.

We haven’t had any report about this issue. Here are some suggestions:

                          – Can you see the same behaviour if you send the email to GroupWise account?
                          – Are you using the Stationery when you seeing this behaviour? If you are using stationery then can you re-produce the same behaviour without using the stationery (i.e. send html email with image).

Unfortunately no GroupWise events (e.g OnKeyPress) available to the 3rd party developer for the email body text window. You can try the OnSend event. Alternatively, you can write a custom application to monitor the key stroke of the email body.
