Advansys Formativ supports Novell eDirectory/NDS but not Microsoft Active Directory, which means you can only use Novell eDirectory/NDS to centrally manage Formativ within your organization. For more information, please see the “Management Overview” link below:

In case it is relevant for your environment, we have released Formativ 2.0.2 Beta 1 (http://www.advansyscorp.com/formativ_beta.htm), which provides GroupWise 8 compatibility for Formativ Studio and Creator and provides a compatibility update for Formativ Runtime when using Window Vista or Windows 7.

Do we use Formativ API? #8128You can write an external COM capable application, say in VB, VBA, C++, C#, then call in Formativ. You can also call Formativ Applet from an external application using Formativ API.
We have updated the feature topic which has sample C# code to use Formativ API.

Advansys SupportPrint Message is a cool solution applet, all applets supplied to the Novell Cool Solutions Applet Central area are not supported by Novell or Advansys. No warranties are provided for the operation of the applets.
However, our internal record shows we have version 1.0.12 available (updated 2007-05-17). I will check with engineers whether this version is posted in cool solution site. In the meantime, you can download the applet from here: http://beta.advansyscorp.com/Print-Message_Flexalock.zip
Installer for this version not available yet. You will need to save the applet manually to the default Formativ applets folder, usually “c:Documents and SettingsUSER-NAMEMy DocumentsAdvansysFormativApplets”.

Advansys SupportWe are unable to reproduce the behaviour in Formativ 2.0.2 & GroupWise 8.0.0 (build date 14/05/09). Please make sure you are running latest point release of the GroupWise client.

Could you please provide more information about the applet you are running? Please email your Formativ Configuration Information to support (support@advansyscorp.com), you can access this via the main GroupWise menus: Help | About Formativ. When the ‘About Box’ appears, select the ‘Configuration’ tab. Press the ‘copy to clipboard’ button, then paste the contents of the clipboard into your reply.

– Can you reproduce this behaviour in another machine or another account?
– Which version of GroupWise client you are running (see Help – About GroupWise)? If you are not running latest point release then we recommend to upgrade client.Let us know how you go.

In Message Saver, you can save messages automatically using your specified configuration settings. “Save Locations” is used to define the list of your favorite locations, and you can set one to be the default. For example, you can save messages from a GroupWise folder (i.e. Mailbox) to a predefined windows folder. In order to define configuration settings, you will need to hold CTRL key down prior to execute the applet.
Unfortunately, this feature does not save messages from subfolders. We will add your suggestions to our enhancement database for future consideration.
In the meantime, you can use our Archive To Go solution to archive entire mailbox or selected folders.

Advansys SupportI don’t think any Token API available to return recipients count. You can use Object API Recipients.Count for received or saved draft message.
To get recipients count for draft message, you may need to get recipients list and count items. For example, code below return total recipients in TO field. You need to do the same for CC field.
